Competition Enterprise - December 12th to 19th 2009 The purpose of Enterprise is to offer organisation, infrastructure and peer group support for pilots who have come to Cunderdin to either achieve particular goals or improve their personal best performances. It is not important whether a pilot is chasing their five-hour duration, 500K distance or the prestigious Barron Hilton Cup. What is important is the environment of support and opportunity to perform that this camp provides to those who participate. Scoring is done on the basis of the kilometers flown, with bonus for completing a declared task and completing an FAI triangle. In addition there are bonuses for beating a personal best and earning badges or breaking records. There are two competitions run: one for best pilot's scores and the second for handicap where pilot's solo hours are taken into consideration. NOTE pilots will need to have an independent operator’s license. There is no intention that Competition Enterprise is to compete against the state championships, but as another environment and concept to fly gliders to the best of you limits and without waiting for the weather to be booming before you launch, then racing to be on the ground first. Put it in your diary now, even if you can’t make it for the full week come for some days and gain some experience with other pilots. Contact James Cooper if you want to come along:
