About WAGA

The West Australian Gliding Association is the regional body withing the Gliding Federation of Australia that represents the gliding clubs of Western Australia:

WAGA is responsible for many activities for the benefit of WA glider pilots including:

  • GFA and CASA liason
  • Instructor and Coach training
  • Tow Pilot endorsement
  • Airworthiness training and endorsement
  • Regional marketing and development
  • Oversight of state records and trophies
  • Annual State Gliding Championships

Committee Meetings

The WAGA committee meet every two months, and hold an Annual General Meeting in August. At present, committee meetings are held in the Meg Olive room at the RAAF Association in Bull Creek, WA. All WA glider pilots are welcome to attend WAGA meetings.
